Home Drug Tests:
Each 5 Minute Drug
Test consists of one or more panels, which tests for a specific Drug Type.
The five Panel 5 Minute Drug Test; tests for 5 Drug Types. The six Panel 5
Minute Drug Test for 6 Drug Types simultaneously. The following 5 Minute Drug
Tests are available:
5-Panel Drug Tests: Amphetamines
Cocaine Marijuana Opiates PCP
6 Panel Drug Tests: Amphetamines
Cocaine Marijuana Opiates PCP Methamphetamines
Testing for Marijuana:
Marijuana (Cannabis
Sativa) is classified as Hallucinogenic and is typically smoked. Hashish is Marijuana
processed into a concentrated form that is smoked. Dronabinol is synthetic THC, the active
part of marijuana, prescribed under the brand name Marinol as an appetite stimulant,
mainly for AIDS and cancer patients. The body converts THC into a number of metabolites
primarily D9-THC-COOH. These metabolites, along with THC itself, are detected by 5
Minute Drug Tests for Marijuana. All forms of Marijuana and THC are detected.
Testing for
Cocaine:
Cocaine is
classified as a Stimulant and is typically found in a white powdered form. It is typically
snorted, but is sometimes smoked or injected. Crack cocaine (Freebase or Rock) is cocaine
that has been processed into a pure rock form and smoked. Cocaine was once commonly used
by physicians as a local anesthetic, yet today safer alternatives are preferred.
Controlled manufacturing of cocaine still takes place in the United States for isolated
medical purposes. The body converts cocaine into the metabolite benzoylecgonine, and along
with Cocaine itself, is detected by 5 Minute Drug Tests for Cocaine. All forms of Cocaine
are detected.
Testing for Amphetamines,
Methamphetamines, and Designer Drugs - Ecstasy (MDMA) and MDA:
5 Minute Drug
Tests for amphetamines are designed specifically to detect amphetamines (Speed) and MDA. 5
Minute Drug Tests for Methamphetamines are designed specifically to detect
Methamphetamines and Ecstasy. Today, most pre-employment lab tests still only target
amphetamines. However, due to the increasing popularity of Methamphetamines and Ecstasy,
specific Methamphetamines tests are now available. 5 Minute Drug Tests for
Methamphetamines are more proficient at detecting methamphetamine and Ecstasy use.
Amphetamines, commonly referred to as Speed, are stimulants found in pill form, typically
prescribed for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and less commonly for weight loss.
D-Amphetamine, sold under various trade names, is the most commonly abused. Amphetamines
are absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and are then either deactivated by the liver
or excreted unchanged in the urine. Amphetamines are detected by 5 Minute Drug Tests for
Amphetamines. 5 Minute Drug Tests for Amphetamines is preferred for specifically detecting
Amphetamine abuse.
Methamphetamines: are stimulants both in prescription form and
illegally manufactured forms. The prescription form of d-Methamphetamine, also referred to
as Speed, is typically taken in pill form. Prescription Methamphetamine abuse is far less
prevalent than prescription Amphetamine abuse. Methamphetamine abuse is typically
associated with illegally manufactured forms of d-Methamphetamine. Crystal Methamphetamine
(Crank) and Ice are illegal forms of d-Methamphetamine, manufactured in underground labs.
Crystal Meth, found mainly in powdered form, is usually snorted and sometimes smoked or
injected. Ice is found in rock form and is typically smoked. The body converts nearly 50%
of d-Methamphetamine into various metabolites mainly d-Amphetamine - which is
detected by 5 Minute Drug Tests for Amphetamines.
Ecstasy: is classified as a Stimulant and Hallucinogenic. It
is typically found in pill form and when pure will contain only MDMA. The body converts
MDMA into a number of metabolites. A major metabolite of MDMA is MDA - which is detected
by 5 Minute Drug Tests for Amphetamines. A major portion of MDMA remains unchanged in the
urine, and is detected by 5 Minute Drug Test for Methamphetamines. An individual who has
taken Ecstasy will typically test positive for both Amphetamines and Methamphetamines.
Testing for
Opiates - Heroin, Opium, Morphine, and Codeine:
Heroin, Opium,
Morphine, and Codeine are narcotic analgesics - drugs that reduce pain without causing
unconsciousness. Opium, morphine, and codeine are derived from the seed of the Opium Poppy
plant. Heroin is derived from either morphine or codeine. Opium is the crudest form and
the least potent of the Opiates, typically found in a dark rock form and usually smoked.
Heroin is the most potent of the opiates, typically found in white to brown powdered form
and usually snorted or injected. Morphine is found in both legally and illegally
manufactured forms. Legally manufactured Morphine is usually found in white to brown
powdered form or in pill form. It is typically injected prior to painful surgery or
childbirth. Illegally manufactured morphine is usually found in powdered form and is
either snorted, injected, or smoked. Codeine is typically found in legally manufactured
tablets or cough syrup, most notable is Tylenol with Codeine - available only by
prescription. Opiates are converted by the body into a number of metabolites, mainly
morphine. All metabolites, along with the actual drugs listed above, are detected by 5
Minute Drug Tests for Opiates. The synthetic Opiates (Opioids) Hydrocodone and
Hydromorphone are also detected.
Testing for
Benzodiazepines - Xanax, Valium, Rohypnol and Other Prescription Sedatives:
Benzodiazepines are
prescription sedatives normally in pill form. The most commonly abused are Xanax
(Alprazolam) and Valium (Diazepam). Benzodiazepines are prescribed for anxiety and stress
relief and as muscle relaxants. Rohypnol (Flunitrazepam), commonly referred to as Ruphies
or the Date Rape Drug, is another Benzodiazepine, currently unavailable by prescription in
the United States, but still sparsely available in the black market. These and many other
Benzodiazepines are detected by 5 Minute Drug Test for Benzodiazepines.
Testing for
Barbiturates - Seconal, Tuinal, and Other Prescription Sedatives:
Barbiturates,
commonly known as downers, are prescription sedatives usually found in pill form. The most
commonly abused Barbiturates are prescribed under the brand names Seconal (Secobarbital)
and Tuinal (Amobarbital and Secobarbital). Barbiturates were commonly prescribed for
stress relief in the 1970's - most notably Seconal, also referred to as "Reds"
during that era. These and many other Barbiturates are detected by 5 Minute Drug Test for
Barbiturates.
Testing for PCP
(Phencyclidine) (Angel's Dust):
Phencyclidine
commonly referred to as PCP or Angel's Dust, is classified as an hallucinogen when used by
humans. Once used by veterinarians as an anesthetic and as a tranquilizer, it has been
replaced with safer alternatives. Tenocyclidine (TCP) is chemically similar to PCP and is
also an hallucinogen. Both are detected by 5 Minute Drug Test for PCP.
Drugs not Detected:
Hallucinogenics: There are currently no home drug tests that detect
LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide), Mescaline, Mushrooms (Psilocybin), or Ketamine (Special
K). However, the hallucinogen Ecstasy (MDMA) is detected by both 5v Minute Drug Tests for
Amphetamines and 5 Minute Drug Tests for Methamphetamines and MDA is detected by 5 Minute
Drug Tests for Amphetamines. Also, the Hallucinogenics PCP (Angel's Dust) and TCP are
detected by 5 Minute Drug Test for PCP.
GHB: There are currently no home drug tests that detect Gamma
Hydroxybutrate, also known as GHB.
Anabolic Steroids: There are currently no home drug tests that
detect steroid use.
Methaqualone: There are currently no home drug tests that
detect Methaqualone, commonly referred to as Quaaludes or Ludes. |
